Supreme comradium can be traced to thirteen students of the then Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology, who gather themselves every evening to relax after a hard day work. Upon hearing that their college would become a university the next morning, the excitement combined with ecstasy for being the first set of undergraduate of the university of Ife drove them on an enjoyment galore

ILYA BENSU- AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY EKPOMA

Known then as Bendel State University was founded in January 1982. In that year the light and awareness of the Palmwine Drinkards club came into existence. In that same vain gyration started on campus where ILYA OVIA stood as the mother Ilya and as a result a coordinator in the person of Otaye Charles was appointed.
In 1983 the quest for keg of office started in the school which led them into discussion with the then AB OVIA who later took them down to the world HQ to see the then AB WORLD CHIEF in person of CHIEF KOLA KAZEEM(ARAKEKE 1). After a very hyperwoked TOK-Test of Kariability, the baby Ilya became  a full fledged Ilya with the comradic nomenclature ILYA BENSU born and the search for a kariable soul to lead the Ilya began, not looking too far the coordinator was coronated.
